Die im östlichen Mittelmeerraum weit verbreitete Krabbe Potamon potamios ist eine relativ große Süßwasserkrabbe aus der Famile Potamidae. Ihr Carapax kann eine Breite von etwa 55-70 mm, eine Länge von 44-57 mm und eine Höhe von 26-34 mm erreichen.
