Atlantische Wurzelmundqualle (Catostylus tagi)

Die Atlantische Wurzelmundqualle (Catostylus tagi) ist eine pelagisch vorkommende Quallenart aus der Familie Catostylidae, die durch ihre dicken, wurst-artigen Tentakel auffallen. Während sie sich im Winter in tieferen Gebieten aufhält, kommt die Wurzelmundqualle im Sommer zur Fortpflanzung in seichtere Gewässer und ist an den Küsten des Atlantiks und westlichen Mittelmeers anzutreffen.
